Beenleigh is a small town just to the south of Logan City on the south side of Brisbane, bisected
by the main Gold Coast freeway. With the urbane development accompanying the rapid population
growth in South East Queensland, Beenleigh is in danger of becoming just another suburb in the
built-up belt developing there. Consequently, most of the interesting and old architecture is pretty
much lost or otherwise "modernised". Thankfully, some of the old pubs did remain, and an interesting
church, so these are shown below.
Beenleigh is now part of the Gold Coast Local Council area so for more information on the town and
environs, visit the
this site for more info.

The Bethesda Lutheran Church is quite an unusual building and caught my eye as I was
driving around town.
No matter where I went I couldn't find a angle to do justice to the interesting
Imperial Hotel in Beenleigh.
The Royal Hotel in Beenleigh has been extensively modified but still looks like an
interesting place for a drink or meal.
The Sundowner Hotel in Beenleigh looks like it is the most original condition of the
three old pubs clustered together at the end of the business district.
