On our trips to Spain in 2003 and 2006 we stayed at the apartment of some friends, a retired Spanish couple who moved back to Spain from Australia about 20 years ago. But what an apartment! Only small inside but the view is worth a million dollars.
Benidorm itself is like so much of the various "Costas" - too many British, German etc retirees looking for the sun but unfortunately destroying the very essence of the place with their numbers, their British and German bars and beers, fish and chips etc.
